MALIA. — “If I’m Being Honest” (2026)

If I’m Being Honest finds MALIA at her most intimate, reflective and quietly resolute. Across seven songs of alternative R&B and soul, she explores intimacy in all its forms—romantic, physical, platonic and internal—moving through desire and discernment, doubt and faith, solitude and connection. At its heart is the emotional work of growth: learning when to hold on, when to let go, and how to cultivate safety and freedom from within.

The project reunites MALIA with longtime collaborator and two-time Grammy-winning producer and songwriter Nick Green, nearly eight years after their work together on her breakout project Late Bloomer. Created during an immersive studio lockout at Furaha Sound alongside TJ Whitelaw and recording and mix engineer Jonathan Rahi, If I’m Being Honest was built around trust, discipline and emotional truth—not trends or urgency. The result is tender, grounded and unafraid to sit with life as it is.
